Version 2.0.9

Latest
  • Fixed: SMB connections to local network servers with guest access now work. Previously the connection silently failed with a generic "Unknown error" because the framework was never told to authenticate as guest.
  • New: "Connect as guest" checkbox on the network-share form. Ticking it disables the user/password fields and forces guest authentication. The flag is persisted in the connection record.
  • New: "Browse…" button next to the Share field. It opens the system share picker for the entered server, lets you choose a share, and writes the chosen name back into the form.
  • Improved: All NetFS connection errors are now reported as localized human-readable messages (e.g. "No shares are available for this user on this server.", "Server does not allow guest connections.") with the underlying error code shown in parentheses for support.
  • Improved: The Validate button now shows an explicit success or failure alert in addition to the small status indicator, so the result is impossible to miss.

Version 2.0.8

  • The "Go To" popup and the Volumes quick list now show cloud storage volumes mounted via File Provider apps such as CloudMounter. These drives appear alongside regular volumes and can be navigated directly.
  • The "Go To" popup now shows an eject button for volumes that can be unmounted (external drives, disk images, network shares). Clicking it unmounts the volume without closing the popup; the row is removed automatically once the OS confirms the unmount.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Network connections" display mode preference in Preferences → Panels was not saved and reverted to the previous value on restart.
  • SFTP file panels now show a "File Attributes…" option in the right-click context menu, allowing permissions and ownership to be edited directly from the panel.
  • The File Attributes dialog now shows an octal permissions field (e.g. `755`) and a symbolic string (e.g. `rwxr-xr-x`) that stay in sync with the permission checkboxes.
